Happy Earth Day, mamas & papas! As you all probably already know, sustainability is hugely important to us here at The Baby Box Co. Especially since becoming parents, we have become increasingly aware of how important it is to protect our planet for future generations, and to do what we can to limit our use of chemicals and pollutants that might affect the health of ourselves and our loved ones.
Part of what makes Baby Boxes so special is that they are sustainable; they do not end up gathering dust in a garage or taking up space in a landfill like a crib or Pack 'n' Play. Once Baby Boxes are too small for babies to sleep in, they can be repurposed as a toy box, play space, or storage container for clothes, stuffed animals, and more. Eventually, the box itself can even be recycled.
In addition, we strongly favor eco-friendly, natural items when selecting the products that are included inside of our boxes. The burp cloths and wash cloths that we produce ourselves are made from 100% organic cotton, our bibs are purchased from Green Sprouts, and our organic, all-natural shampoo and body wash is produced by Angel Baby Earth Mama. Our Everything But The Stork Box and our Every Mother Counts Box both include a pure wooden teether and a cloth diaper kit.
We are also lucky to have amazing eco-friendly sponsors contributing free samples and coupons to every Baby Box, including Bambo Nature diapers, GreenLite Meals, Weleda, Rockin' Green, Love Child Organics, Nature's One, Little World Peas, and more.
For these reasons, The Baby Box Co. was a proud nominee of Natural Child World's Eco-Excellence award in 2014.
